Nickel Alloy Groups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are many commercially-available, wrought, corrosion-resistant, nickel-based alloys. To understand their characteristics and metallurgy, it is convenient to group them compositionally. The main groups, as defined by alloying elements present at levels of 10 wt.% or above, are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Commercially-Pure Nickel (Ni)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Nickel-Copper (Ni-Cu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Nickel-Chromium (Ni-Cr)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Nickel-Molybdenum (Ni-Mo)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum (Ni-Cr-Mo)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Nickel-Chromium-Iron (Ni-Cr-Fe)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Nickel-Iron-Chromium (Ni-Fe-Cr)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
