HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> B-3\u00ae<\/sup> exhibits extremely high resistance to pure hydrochloric, hydrobromic, and sulfuric acids. Furthermore, it has greatly improved structural stability compared with previous B-type alloys, leading to fewer concerns during welding, fabrication, and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> C-22\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is one of the well-known and well-proven nickel-chromium-molybdenum materials, the chief attributes of which are resistance to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and protection from pitting, crevice attack, and stress corrosion cracking. Its high chromium content provides much higher resistance to oxidizing media than the family standard, C-276 alloy, and imparts exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting, an insidious and unpredictable form of attack, to which the stainless steels are prone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> C-276 alloy is the first wrought, nickel-chromium-molybdenum material to alleviate concerns over welding (by virtue of extremely low carbon and silicon contents). As such, it was widely accepted in the chemical process and associated industries, and now has a 50-year-old track record of proven performance in a vast number of corrosive chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> C-2000\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is unique among the versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum materials in having a deliberate copper addition. This provides greatly enhanced resistance to sulfuric acid. It also has a high chromium content, to maximize its resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> G-35\u00ae<\/sup> alloy was developed to resist \u201cfertilizer-grade\u201d phosphoric acid (P2<\/sub>O5<\/sub>), which is used in the production of fertilizers. Tests in real-world solutions indicate that G-35\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is far superior to other metallic materials in this acid. It was also designed to resist localized attack in the presence of chlorides, since this can be a problem beneath deposits in evaporators used to concentrate \u201cfertilizer-grade\u201d phosphoric acid. Furthermore, G-35\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is much less susceptible to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking than the stainless steels and nickel-chromium-iron alloys traditionally used in \u201cfertilizer-grade\u201d phosphoric acid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> N alloy has good resistance to aging and embrittlement and good fabricability. It has excellent resistance to hot fluoride salts in the temperature range of 1300\u00b0F to 1600\u00b0F (705\u00b0C-870\u00b0C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ULTIMET\u00ae<\/sup> alloy provides many of the corrosion characteristics of the nickel-based HASTELLOY\u00ae<\/sup> G-type alloys and many of the wear characteristics of the cobalt-based STELLITE\u00ae<\/sup> alloys, in a single, highly weldable material. It excels under conditions conducive to galling and cavitation erosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Haynes International, Inc. is pleased to announce the development of HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0233\u2122<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0alloy. This alloy is expected to have exceptional oxidation resistance coupled with superior creep strength at temperatures up to 2100\u00b0F (1149\u00b0C), or higher \u2013 a combination of properties never before achieved in a readily fabricable alloy. Potential applications include hot gas components in aerospace and industrial gas turbines. Material for trial evaluation are available in several product forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup><\/em> 244\u00ae<\/sup><\/em> alloy is a new, age-hardenable, nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy with an extended operating temperature range to 1400\u00b0F (760\u00b0C). This alloy offers improved yield strength and creep rupture strength, versus HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup><\/em> 242\u00ae<\/sup><\/em> alloy, as well as a lower thermal expansion. Additionally, the alloy has excellent low-cycle fatigue and good oxidation resistance. The higher strength and lower thermal expansion provides better dimensional control, sealing, and containment characteristics for aero engine designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 214\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is a nickel-chromium-aluminum-iron alloy designed to provide the optimum high-temperature oxidation resistance for a wrought material, while at the same time allowing for conventional forming and joining. This alloy offers outstanding oxidation resistance to 2300\u00b0F (1260\u00b0C) and is used in demanding, specialized gas turbine parts, such as honeycomb seals combustor splash plates and other static oxidation-limited parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 230\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is a nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum alloy that offers the best combination of high- temperature strength, resistance to oxidizing environments up to 2100\u00b0F (1149\u00b0C) for prolonged exposures, excellent long-term thermal stability, and fabricability of any major high-temperature alloy. It is used for combustion cans, transition ducts, flame holders, thermocouple sheaths, and other important gas turbine components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 282\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is a new, wrought, gamma-prime strengthened superalloy developed for high-temperature structural applications, especially those in aero and industrial gas turbine engines. It possesses a unique combination of creep strength, thermal stability, weldability, and fabricability not found in currently available commercial alloys. This new alloy has excellent creep strength in the temperature range of 1200 to 1700\u00b0F (649\u00b0 to 927\u00b0C), surpassing that of Waspaloy alloy and approaching that of R-41 alloy. The features of this alloy make it suitable for critical gas turbine applications, such as sheet fabrications, forged rings and cases, exhaust and nozzle structures, and other hot-gas-path components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 556\u00ae<\/sup> alloy is a high-strength alloy with broad spectrum of resistance to high-temperature corrosive environments. Used in waste incineration, heat-treating, calcining, chemical processing, galvanizing, refinery, boiler and gas turbine components of various types. Excellent fabricability and excellent as a dissimilar filler metal for welding nickel or cobalt alloys to iron-base alloys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 617 alloy is widely used in gas turbines for combustion cans, ducting and transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 625 and 625SQ\u00ae<\/sup> alloys are used in wide variety of aerospace components. The 625SQ\u00ae<\/sup> alloy grade offers improved LCF properties for bellows type applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> HR-120\u00ae<\/sup> alloy offers very good creep strength to 1800\u00b0F (980\u00b0C), together with good resistance to several industrial environments (e.g. excellent carburization and very good sulfidation and oxidation resistance). This economical alloy has found use in large frame engine shrouds, as well as use in heat treating fixture and industrial heating applications as an upgrade from 330 alloy, 800H alloy and stainless steels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> HR-160\u00ae<\/sup> alloy has outstanding resistance to sulfidation and other high-temperature aggressive environments. Used in waste incineration, boiler, high-temperature reaction vessel and rotary calciner applications.
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> HR-224\u00ae<\/sup> alloy<\/a><\/strong>
HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> HR-224\u00ae<\/sup> HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> HR-224\u00ae<\/sup> is new alloy with excellent oxidation resistance to 2200\u00b0F (1204\u00b0C), with improved fabricability and weldability compared to HAYNES\u00ae<\/sup> 214\u00ae<\/sup> alloy.
