Business Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to meet on-time delivery commitments out of the HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY by coordinating inventory receipt, order planning and routing, inventory transactions to maintain smooth material flow through the service center. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining an accurate materials inventory, performing and/or assisting in the routing and planning of orders entered on the HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY, establishing and maintaining KANBAN, or other inventory control programs, to support the cut parts initiative at the HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY.

Role Qualifications: (Required & Preferred)

Education:
BS (R) in business or management discipline

Experience:
Requires a BS+ with 2-5 years, of experience working in a production oriented business; 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity (P).

Areas of Knowledge:
(R) Inventory/routing/planning systems, procedures, processes and methodology, Haynes certification/traffic/billing systems (R), data entry, Haynes product forms, quality systems, business math & statistics and project planning. (P) OSHA safety requirements, manufacturing processes, procedures, systems and equipment, quality auditing, production scheduling and metallurgy.

Skills:
Leadership; computer literacy; organizational skills; conflict resolution skills; professional conduct, telephone etiquette and general communication skills; higher level math skills; ability to multitask. (R)

Global Accountabilities for the Role:

Cross-Functional Relations - Effectively work and communicate (both responsively and proactively) with others outside of the Midwest Service Center in support of Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing operational plans.

Specific Accountabilities for the Role:
1. Manage & coordinate the material receipt process to meet established goals for quality and timeliness of receipts. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and participate in inventory audits as required.

2. Implement appropriate inventory management programs to allow effective operation of cut parts programs; work with Sales / customers (internal and external) to establish inventory levels required by the programs and adjust HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY levels accordingly; work with IT to establish systems requirements that meet the support needs of inventory programs.

3. Manage & coordinate routing/planning of orders entered on the HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY to ensure that quality and on-time delivery commitments are met. Process cut routings on a daily basis to allow for timely invoicing of shipped orders and turnaround of drops being returned to stock; correct any discrepancies.

4. Regularly monitor workloads at HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY workstations, along with consolidation container schedule; work with HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY management and floor supervision to utilize “slack” time on equipment with orders outside of normal production window and to prepare consolidation orders for weekly and end of month consolidation shipments.

5. Coordinate with LCMP and Kokomo Production Control & Finished Goods personnel to ensure proper flow of material coming to the HAYNES LA PORTE FACILITY, as well as, transfer order shipments from HAYNES LAPORTE FACILITY.

6. Manage (issue, process and maintain) RMNs to ensure credits are issued to customers in a time-frame the meets requirements.

7. Supervise direct reports as required to ensure that orders are shipped and billed correctly and in a timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to, creation of certifications, creation of customer specific shipping documents, completion of shop-floor transactions, shipment transactions and system updates in BPCS, filing of paperwork, and monitoring of orders on hold for credit, shipping or customer issues. Target is to close shipping desk at 5p every night.

8. Work with Kokomo Traffic personnel with all traffic issues and handle all damage claims.

9. Monitor office supplies and submit purchase requisitions for routine supplies; receive products into AX.

10. Maintain related SOPs to reflect current practices and meet changing requirements.

11. Meet all Quality systems requirements related to the role. Meet requirements of GE S-1000, specifically with regards to disposition of nonconforming material. Goal of zero NCRs related to role.
